Okay so maybe every knows about these but I thought I'd post this as I've recently been making some tropical type scenery for the first time and saw plastic floral stuff in Michael's and even with the discounts it was really expensive. Then I saw these floral balls in the Dollar Store (Canada) and for 2.50 Canadian I think it's a real bargain. I just cut two of them up and they half filled an entire table 3ft by 5 ft

They look pretty good. How big are they? |

They look really great! Would love to find some of that in the USA. |

It probably stands 40mm – 60mm high depending on how you cut it. Because its originally in a ball shape when you cut it in sections it sits perfect on a flat surface without a base.

I am wondering if the branch structure on those balls would make good armatures for 15mm and smaller sized terrain pieces, for temperate areas. Maybe gluing on ground foam might make suitable trees Mike |

I will have to stop by the Dollar Tree store on the way home to see if I can find those. I did pick up some 12" square ones at Michaels for 50% off last week. That made them 7.50. This is a much better price. :) |
