I came across this card in the new 'Heroes of the Rebellion' boxed set…
…at first sight this looks a useless asset for 5pts! I had to look online to figure it out! I write this to help anyone else confused by this! It only works when you are using Target Lock, or some other situation where you can re-roll attack or defence dice, where it can be re-rolled. Hardly an earth shattering ability, but at least it makes sense now! |

Rey's card (8 points) says: "When attacking or defending, if the enemy ship is within your firing arc, you may reroll up to 2 of your blank results." The two of them work like a team made for each other! |

Okay, I get it. You get to add an additional die to the roll, but the result is a blank. However, if you can re-roll blanks, that means you get one extra die for the re-roll. Which might have been a better phrasing, actually: When attacking with a primary weapon or defending, if the enemy ship is inside your firing arc, you gain an additional die when using any ability that allows you to reroll blank dice. I think that covers exactly the same idea with far more clarity. |

I have found the most recent releases struggling to find some new and unique attribute for their update cards! I agree with Parzival, either there should be (brief) explanations of the cards function on the Component/rules sheet, or even better, a simpler, clearer explanation on the card! I actually don't use many additional upgrades in my games, mainly as I keep forgetting to use them! – I am getting old, you know! |

Which might have been a better phrasing, actually: When attacking with a primary weapon or defending, if the enemy ship is inside your firing arc, you gain an additional die when using any ability that allows you to reroll blank dice. Except there are at least a few abilities out there that also let you change a die result without re-rolling, so it's not quite the same thing. |
