All, Here is a list of fantastic books at bargain prices that you may not know about but should: The War of Spanish Succession by James Faulkner, $1.26 USD A Storm of Spears by Christopher Matthew, $1.26 USD Napoleon's Infantry Handbook by Terry Crowdy, $1.26 USD Waterloo the French Perspective by Andrew Field, $1.99 USD Prelude to Waterloo by Andrew Field, $2.51 USD Thunder on the Danube Vol 1, by John H. Gill, $1.99 USD Radetzky's Marches by Michael Embree, $2.99 USD War in the East (Russo-Turkish War) by Quintin Barry, $2.51 USD Road to Koniggratz by Quintin Barry, $2.99 USD Franco Prussian War Vol I by Quintin Barry, $2.99 USD Franco Prussian War vol II by Quintin Barry, $2.99 USD Bismark's First War by Michael Embree, $2.99 USD Neptune's Inferno by James D. Hornfisher, $1.99 USD This Kind of War by T R Fehrenbach, $1.99 USD Quartered Safe Out Here by George Macdonald Fraser, $1.99 USD Breaking Point of the French Army by David Murphy, $1.26 USD And more. These are quality books at bargain prices. Try buying some of these in hardback and you will see what I mean. I've read a lot of these and can heartily recommend them at any price but if you own a Kindle in the US you will have a years worth of reading for less than buying a hardback of Radetzkys Marches. Now Quintin Barrys books are chock full of information that wargames can love and if you have any interest in Moltke's influence on the Prussian army he is a must buy. If you like WWII naval battles not dominated by carriers then Hornfishers book on the Naval battles off Guadalcanal is required reading. Gills Danube campaign book (trilogy but only the first book is at this price) is the only account of the Bavarian Artillery firing lugubriously. I loved his account and I read Arnold's books and I love them all. I cannot post the link but pick out a title on you Kindle and look at suggested readings for other low cost books. Regards, Rick |

Thanks very much Rick, Tony et al! I will definitely get myself the 2 volumes on the Franco- Prussian War! Bought the Stillicho book recently in hard-copy ( great read BTW) but for the price I paid for it could have bought ALL of these. |

One more word of advice, most of these discounts were not announced and can be withdrawn at any time. I bought War of Spanish Succession for $13.99 USD and the very next week I stumbled upon it for this price. Some of these books, "Grant Takes Command" and "Quartered Safe Out Here" are monthly promotionals and revert to regular price March 1st. WillieB , i found paperback copies of Quintin Barry's FPW series and read them in Afghanistan and then followed it up with Road to Koninggratz. His War in the East is commanding insane prices so I suggest you splurge and get all four on the Kindle. And your recommendation for Stilicho just pushed me to purchase it. |

I've earmarked at least eight (8) of these books to buy in a day or two, when my CC bill "flips" to a new month and thus they can be budgetted for. Thanks again to Rick for finding these, as I'd given up with the crappy offers from Daily Free Books and Book Bub over the last few months! |

Very cool. I prefer buying physical copies but for some volumes, the price difference can be prohibitive. The Franco-Prussian war ones are 500 dollars on amazon in physical copy, 2.99 seems like a pretty decent savings :D |
