Dream Pod 9 just launched their Jovian Chronicles / Lightning Strike / Jovian Wars kickstarter to fund the production of the ships from the Ships of the Fleet series of books. The ships are some of the best hard but still sci fi looking designs I've come across so far and I used to read and re-read the books back in the nineties. They're very The Expanse-esque! :D They're starting out with four ships for $88 USD CAD (or $67 USD US) which I think is an ok price point for models of this size, especially as they'll be coming with lots of customization options. You can also add the remastered (and 25% larger) Valiant and Poseidon. As the kickstarter progresses more ships and new pledge levels will open up. Yeah, I think there's a good chance that this Kickstarter will do pretty well! Relatively speaking. Hoping to get all the new Jovian and CEGA ships unlocked and maybe start on the Venusians… |

Funded and working towards stretchgoals! I think we'll see the next batch of ships around the 10k mark or so. And FYI, I asked Robert about adding stuff in the pledge manager and he said that you will be able to do that. So you could pledge for 6CAD and then up the pledge at a later date. |
