Maybe it's the angle of the picture or something…
The gun shield looks very chunky and the barrel quite short.
The model gun shield looks to have 3 layers.

IIrc the sheild was two sheets of spaced armour. saves weight but still protects from random shrapnel or light arms. you can see it link

I see 2,
The model appears to have 3.

The length of barrel and proportion of the muzzle break also look a bit odd at first glance but that could well be due to photography.

It's not the shape Ceterman, it's the layers as Andy says. It gives a totally incorrect appearance.

at that scale youd be hoping for a slightly better job on representing the spaced shield
