Last Sunday I began crafting the first laytex canvas terrain mat I've ever done. I picked it back up tonight by adding the layout and first paint. Here is an early picture.

Heres a thought-instead of doing 2x2 terrain boards, what about 2x2 geomorphic terrain mats? Has somebody already tried that?

Ooh, there's an idea.

The only challenge with that is where they meet up -- canvas tends to not lay flat along the edges (look at the picture and you can see what I'm talking about). If you have it on a table with foam underneath, you could use pins I suppose to flatten it out a bit.

The edges really won't line up nicely for roads, etc. If you put them over hills, it's much worse.
