Martin's fantasy saga, though, other networks working on literary adaptations are taking pains to stay true to source material—and even letting the original authors into that most sacred of spaces, the TV writers' room. Both Franck and Abraham work on Syfy's The Expanse, and have already written three scripts for the series. Neil Gaiman has penned episodes for the upcoming adaptation of American Gods, and wrote all six installments of the upcoming Amazon series based on Good Omens, the apocalyptic comedy he co-wrote with Terry Pratchett. Patrick Rothfuss is creating new characters and storylines for the Kingkiller Chronicle TV show. In some of Hollywood's hottest book-to-TV projects, authors are inching into the process. It just took them a while to get there…"

It's my favorite new show. I just hope they don't farm it out to writers who have it jump the shark in some drivel.

The first season even has one of my favorite lines in it. Where Amos applies the medical life saving device to Miller and Holden after they were exposed to radiation and says "it keeps switching to hospice."

It is my favourite show right now. It has a certain Battlestar Galactica 2003 vibe, but without all the religious angst.

Though in 'Godspeed' the catwalk and hallways at Eros docks are vertical to the direction of the planet's gravity. Which I guess the best the prop department could do. Confusing.
