I got my Kickstarter reward for this the other day, two ships with crews (Brethren of the Coast & Spanish Militia) and some other goodies. I'm very impressed, can't wait to paint these up. |

I got to say im quite impressed with what i got of the KS, the English Buccaneers with the frigate, the hardback rule book is rather nice too. |

I was very pleased with my kick-starter backing with Firelock Games until yesterday when I received a bill from Fed-Ex for nearly $60 USD for import fees, taxes, holding fees, etc. to Canada. I have backed 4 other Kick-starter campaigns from US companies, 1 from the UK and 1 from Australia and I have never had to pay any additional courier fees like this before. The amount of all but one of these kick-starters were far more than what I backed on this one. The figures are very nice, the rule book is well laid out, the ship, cards, dice are all top notch. In fact I was going to order some more factions, but when I saw the prices listed after kick-starter campaign had ended and noticed the jump in prices coupled now with unknown additional fees laid out by the courier company, there is no way that I am going to purchase anything further. What was initially an amazing kick-starter campaign to back has now for me at least left me VERY UNIMPRESSED NOW!!! This is very disappointing as I would have picked up a few more of the other factions. |
