I always believed the Westphalians were in white not blue? Nice figures though |

@ acatcalledelvis- line infantry in white, with blue facings from 1812 (before that there were regimental facing colours). These are Light Infantry and are, I think, correctly uniformed for the earlier period. There is a note on the site indicating they would be in green uniforms later, which seems more appropriate for light infantry. |

oh thanks – they look like fusiliers/grenadiers and lights to me (going by epaulettes/absence of epaulettes)- anyway the paint job doesn't affect the fact the figures are nice!! |

Nice figures, I would have preferred the light troops in some more active poses (the line infantry is already marching). Is there any difference (other than the colours of epaulettes etc) between the carabiniers and volitgeurs figures? |

The pale blue coats shown are exactly correct for the first pattern of uniform worn by Westfalian Light Infantry battalions from 1807-1809. After 1809 they went into a dark green coat of the same single breasted cut. By 1812 all Light Battalions wore green. Re the Westfalian Line Infantry- in 1810 all regiments were ordered to adopt white coats with dark blue facings and lapels. This was already the uniform of the 2nd Regt and was now to be the universal outfit for the whole Line Infantry. However, by 1812, this universal uniform had still not been issued to anyone but the 2nd Regt, so the others went to Russia in the pre-1810 uniform of white coats with varied facings of dark blue, light blue, yellow or black, with coloured or white lapels. After almost all the troops of 1812 had been lost in Russia, several regiments were re-raised in 1813 during the last few months of Westfalia's existence. These units did it seem wear the universal pattern. |

There will be a skirmishing pack available for the range as well as full dress versions. The Rawkins book and the Stephen Summerfield books are excellent on all the uniform colours and dates to which they were worn etc. |

I still think the Steve Barber Bavarian style buildings in 28mm are in a class of their own. link They've been around at least 22 years because I reckon I bought some in 1998. They're still class. |

I had not seen how the range has expanded in 28mm Napoleonic figures. The RHA, the French cavalry in cloaks, the heads for Carabiniers which might just salvage the Perry plastic range. Many thanks for pointing this out. |

Westphalian Cuirassier heads would be useful to for Perry conversion purposes. |
