Hi, I feel very guilty asking this but….. Can anyone recommend a painting service for 28mm buildings, South American in style? I normally do this myself but I seem to have just enough to paint figs lets alone anything else, |

Spray cans are your friend. Quick, easy, and cheap. Prime, spray base coat, a quick and dirty wash, and you are done. Seal, if desired. Will probably take about the same time as it would for you to wrap and box them up, and take them to the post office to mail off. Certainly far faster than waiting for their return. |

Does that work on mdf buildings? |

Haven't done it myself, but suspect it should. Might need to seal the MDF in some way, but then again, perhaps the primer will work for that. |

Here is a link to a you tube video put out by GameCraft Minis. It gives lots of info on construction, puttying seams, sealing and painting: YouTube link GameCraft Minis site: gamecraftminiatures.com |

Yes I've been spurning MDF buildings but that video makes it clear you really can make them into something nice. |

The Dip (Minwax Polyshades Urethane Stain) is great on buildings, if you want them to look dirty, muddy, unkempt. Base coat the colors needed, then apply Royal Walnut (dirty, brown, muddy finish), or Tudor (black wash only, mostly for straight-up shading), or use a combination of both colors. Cheers! |

Hmm, at the cost of an MDF building, and needing all that work to get them to look good, I ask why not just scratch build in the first place (for those with time the OP may not have)? Or stick with resin? The latter is my vastly preferred alternative in most cases. |
