Can anyone suggest miniatures for Metis for the Reil rebellion of 1885
They look rather like Boers in buckskin.
I was thinking of using Perry`s upcoming plastic Zulu war British for Canadians.

A Manitoban blogger suggests RAFM for Riel, Dumont and Poundmaker link And the Hudson Bay Co blanket is a standout.

From contemporary pictures, a ragged mix of cold weather cowboys and Indians and armed Victorians.

btw there is a big statue of Riel (not Reil) at the back of the Manitoba Legislature and his grave is just across the river in the grounds of the Catholic Cathedral.

There are some in the Tiger Miniatures Mounties range that will work. Although I do not have any miniatures from this company I suspect they might not match size-wise with RAFM.
