Printing Scenario Maps with Poster Software

You've got a scenario map, and you need to create some hills. Is there some way to just print out the map in very large scale, so you can trace the outline of the hills you need to build? The Editor finds out...

After an absence of WW 2 games around at my place for the last three years, after boring the Lads to death with my Sidi Rezegh game, we've played two games in two weeks and we'll play again next week!

A change of rules to breathe life back into a flagging period often does the trick, and Blitzkrieg Commander 2 has done the business as far as I'm concerned. The rules make for a fun game with plenty of ups and downs and they don't deteriorate into a game of tank Top Trumps. They are also set at the level I like: 1 stand = platoon / troop.

James,

Thanks for the game descriptions. We just ran a small playtest of BKC II (as I abbreviate it) on Thursday. The sequence and rules were fairly easy to pick up. I like your solution on the off-board artillery as I agree with your basic assumption, having served in the US Army for 20 years.

I really like your British command group with their armored command post carrier.

Lovely models and read up. May I ask 2 questions, how did you deal with ranges for movement and firing/command, did you use the 15mm or 10mm rates as per the book and did you remove hits at the end of each turn as per book, this seems to have being the biggest mode of contention in the past .

Hi WT,

Ranges and movement were increased by 50% cm, the measurement being converted to inches – 10 cm = 15 cm = 6" – the latter because I like gaming in inches.

For the second game I increased command distance by 3", mainly because I use quite big bases for my desert stuff and a battalion of British infantry, with supporting stuff (AT, MMG, etc.) couldn't deploy reasonably well dispersed without doing so.

Yes, we removed hits. Plenty of things got killed without leaving them on.

Thanks for the feedback, I will try those measurement changes next 15mm game we have, see how it goes..
