Blackpowder, super successful roll, 3 turns, actions, moves- 54" move. Charges foot, 25" away. Foot successfully form square, cavalry stops short and decides to flow around, how long is the flow around move? First correct answer: I will buy drinks at the Lucky, but you must be at the bar to collect. Wear a pink carnation…..lol. |

p75: "Cavalry ordered to do so will automatically halt 3" away and the player can use whatever move remains to ride his cavalry back or around the side of the enemy, as he wishes." Therefore: Cavalry charge moves 22" and halts 3" away from square. The cavalry unit then has a remaining 32" of movement to ride back or "flow around". Personally, I'd keep the unit at least 3" away from the square in any subsequent movement. |

Well I'll be. This exact same situation came up in our game the other night. Our decision: The player diced and got three "moves". The first "move" was to move the cavalry forward 18". Second "move" was to charge the cavalry about another 4" which resulted in the square being formed and the cavalry pulling up 3" short. The third "move" was to flow around the square from that point up to 18" (which the player did in our game). We have a house rule that when you dice for the number of so-called "moves" that a unit can do, we instead call them "actions". This distinguishes between what a "move" is and what "movement" is (if you know what I mean). Hope this helped. |
