All my WW2 20mm is old FAA stuff and I need to expand in a few areas.

Whats the most compatible range(s) for Russian, German and British?

Fantassin/Warmodeling looked likely but I gather there are "issues" around legality and availability of these tied up with matters in Spain. Not interested in that!

What about SHQ or TQD?

AB are lovely but completely different style of sculpts.

SHQ will fit, TQD will be taller.

Battlefield Miniatures will also work ok.

I tend to use all of the above with my AB stuff and mix and match as I feel. Once you mix lots and have a unifying paintjob, it all blends together.

Xan Miniatures would do the job too: xanminiatures.com

This brand is run by the former sculptor of Fantassin. If not wrong, its ranges are carried by Scale Creep.

Thanks Piers,

Haven't seen Battlefield Miniatures before they look nice, wish the images on their website were larger!

wartime are good if you can get them, but they seem to be out of stock in the uk atm

Try these;

Some of the ranges were by the same sculptor as FAA, when it was MLRS?? Brits and Germans have a look at the pics (not that clear but you can see the style).

FAA are still available from the US

Fantassin/Warmodelling are readily available in the UK (they are in fact now cast there). While there is a court case pending, that should be resolved in April. I plan to place one order with the current owners, will adjust after April as events require.

And yes, Xan did the sculpting for Fantassin back in the day. Hiw new stuff is nice but the range is very limited as you can see.

Thanks everyone.

The Combat Minatures look familiar (what I can see of them).
