Because if you have a problem, God help you with getting them to contact you back to resolve it. I've been trying for two months now. |

Customer service seemed to work well for me. I did not like the requests that I keep sending photo links to the items that I did receive---bit I was happy that all items were delivered once it was sorted out |

We changed website and email host at the end of last year and it's been a disaster. We arent receiving emails or contact form messages from lots of people and until we move to (yet another) host/provider the situation wont change. If you dont get an answer by email within 2 working days then we haven't received it (as we dont ignore people). Alternatively message us on facebook (a message is less likely to get overlooked), tweet us on twitter or phone us. (Not much point posting here as we dont visit here …. we only knew about your post here from comments you made to Chris after he contacted you immediately having seen the post on facebook) ---- Random – we always asks for photos so that we can see what is either damaged or missing…it's not a policy that will change and you are the first to complain. |

Just curious, but how can one take a picture of something that was not delivered? |
Irish Marine | 07 Feb 2017 9:15 a.m. PST |
You should visit here, this is where a lot of customers visit. |
bsrlee | 07 Feb 2017 9:25 a.m. PST |
For various reason there are a LOT of people who do not use Facebook, Twitter and similar 'social media'. |

"Just curious, but how can one take a picture of something that was not delivered?" Obviously you can't. A policy like this is to ensure that the complainant actually bought something. Corvus Belli has the same policy with Infinity stuff. If you are missing something from them you have to take a picture of the figures with the little paper tags that come in the box, a little tag is in the box and in each plastic bag that comes in the box. It is a bit of a PITA but ultimately keeps costs lower as the cost of the bit being replaced may be little or almost nothing but the cost of postage is going to kill you sending out bits willy-nilly. |

You should visit here, this is were a lot of customers visit. And lots of people have very good reasons for not visiting TMP. Small businesses like Antenocitis probably don't find it worthwhile wading through all the noise just to find one or two posts a year that might relate to them. |
stewart46A | 07 Feb 2017 2:01 p.m. PST |
I don't order lots but always had great service from Antenociti |
Robert Burke | 07 Feb 2017 3:19 p.m. PST |
I don't know. How hard would it be to visit TMP once a week and search the message boards for your company's name? One unhappy customer is going to reach out and "touch" a lot of people with his complaint. Checking in with TMP just once in while could go a long way towards maintaining customer satisfaction. Surely that's worth the effort of 5 minutes a week (or less). |
Grumpy Monkey | 07 Feb 2017 5:30 p.m. PST |
Have you tried using the search engine here? :) |
ochoin | 07 Feb 2017 9:30 p.m. PST |
I'd agree with many of the above. The Front Page can be your friend. Put on the maximum number of posts, stifle/ignore Tango & even dropping by once a week should allow you to scan for any posts that may interest you (& don't use your business name). There's not that much traffic anymore. Skimming through TMP & a few of the larger internet modelling/gaming forums seems to be an obvious weekly action for anyone in your business. |

Pictures aren't actually an imposition – I recently attached one to an email notifying a manufacturer that they had sent cataphract rather than clibanari horses for a special order. Of course when figures are missing from a lot and it was necessary to open packages to determine that it starts to become moot as to the value of the picture. |
bsrlee | 07 Feb 2017 10:49 p.m. PST |
Of course another solution would be to set up an account on something like Gmail or Yahoo Mail for problems to be posted to – both 'services' are pretty good at keeping the spammers away because they make most of their income from selling advertising and spammers don't pay. |
Pictors Studio | 08 Feb 2017 12:33 a.m. PST |
I have a gmail account and I still have customer emails end up in the spam box. |
alien BLOODY HELL surfer | 08 Feb 2017 3:26 a.m. PST |
the topic headline is a bit off. could have said 'anyone else had trouble contacting Antenociti?' not straight into a 'don't buy from' heading, that's unfair and unjust and can harm business. also, so what if they do not visit here, there are lots of manufacturers who don't. |
ochoin | 08 Feb 2017 4:43 a.m. PST |
I think alien etc makes a fair point. I believe Antenociti to have a sterling reputation & deserved the benefit of the doubt no matter the frustration behind the OP. |
Gangrel | 08 Feb 2017 6:14 a.m. PST |
I've had great service from Antenociti in the past, and TBH, I can't blame them for not checking here. For all the gamers I know personally, I am the only member here. There are other sites such as LAF, Frothers, etc., etc. Where would you draw the line? |
GonerGonerGoner | 08 Feb 2017 6:32 a.m. PST |
In the UK TMP is inaccessible at the start of the day (c. 8 am-9 am) as it undergoes "maintenance" and is often unusable in patches through the day. Even if a business had the inclination to search every gaming website out there TMP is difficult to check out. As for the title the usual massive over hyping click bait. |
zoneofcontrol | 08 Feb 2017 8:35 a.m. PST |
Yeah, running my business off of someone else's website seems like a fool's errand. If you wanted to do that here on TMP, you could always petition Dear Editor to set up a specific board for each business that wants one. After all, we could always use a few (hundred) more boards. |
Editor in Chief Bill | 08 Feb 2017 2:52 p.m. PST |
Note that they would normally only need to check one board: Consumer Affairs. |
sjwalker38 | 08 Feb 2017 4:08 p.m. PST |
That's assuming everyone knows to post there, rather than others such as The Hobby Industry, Wargaming in…, |
ochoin | 08 Feb 2017 4:50 p.m. PST |
That's assuming everyone knows to post there, rather than others such as The Hobby Industry, Wargaming in…, Indeed, the OP didn't start at Consumer Affairs but in the 28mm Sci-Fi board (see Action Log top right hand corner). |
J Womack 94 | 10 Feb 2017 8:29 a.m. PST |
Yes, I did start there. That's because the thread I started in Consumer Affairs did not get any response. Its also the reason for the inflammatory title of this post: I wanted to get their attention. This was a red flare. I have since received a response. Issue is in the process of being resolved. What finally did work was messaging through Facebook. I had tried posting to their Facebook page but got no response from that either. This being the first time I had ordered from them, it was, I think reasonably, a concern when I got no response from more traditional channels. Bill, you can kill this thread if you like. |
God wills it | 13 Feb 2017 4:21 p.m. PST |
Having read this thread I placed an order, hopefully it won't take too long. I can understand taking a pic of a damaged item but not of what was not delivered??? I just wish they would change their name to something I might be able to remember. |
