I just bought "Grand Forage" but haven't cracked it yet.
There was also the Forage Wars the previous years.
Are there any scenarios out there to cover any of those not quite small skirmishes?
I'm looking at battles that can be gamed with TSATF.
We have already done Springfield with Age of Reason.

The advantage of these "minor" battles (if you were wounded or killed in these, they weren't "minor") is that someone with a casual knowledge of the AWI doesn't know the strategy or tactics that won the original. You're on your own.

Yeah. I know. Ambush the wagon train. grin

I have a couple of ideas. One is the relatively recent
"Bergen County in the American Revolution". Another is
The Guide to the American Revolutionary War in New Jersey" By Desmarais. Both have lots of descriptions of small actions in NJ.
One of the old table top teasers has a foraging scenario easily adaptable to the AWI, as well as their wagon train one.

Keep us posted on what you find and if you run any games based on the forage wars!

For a wagon train scenario, bear in mind that on the day of Monmouth Courthouse, Morgan and other forces were supposed to attack the 1,500-vehicle British baggage park. Unfortunately, Charles Lee couldn't tell his "today" from his "tomorrow" and Morgan spent June 28th waiting for June 29th.

Here's another two good books on this type of operation:

Ack! I forgot the Hackensack one. I have it somewhere. Gotta dig it up.
The raids from Canada one is new to me.

I started my AWI TSATF with a joke game about the Wyoming Massacre. I was so surprised to see how well it worked out that I've run it 5 times.

Considering that the intent was to despoil fine agricultural land, I might classify that as "Forage Wars".
