Nice into. What's the flavor of your campaign? More military focused, or more of the gonzo mutant wasteland stuff?

There is some of everything, but probably more of the military or pseudo-military type thing and less of the mutant and Mad Max type stuff than typical in gaming.

Do these cities produce their own fuel and ammo?

It varies pretty drastically, but nobody has endless supplies of expendable materials or resources.

There is not much in the way of gasoline, but other fuels can sometimes be made, and pre-apocalypse materials or technologies are sometimes available. Limited manufacturing exists, though heavily restricted by available materials.

Scavenging and salvage is a pretty important component in the game.

Seems like you've 'jumped' a head a good decade or two after "Whatever" caused this Apocalypse. Gives you at least a few "civilized" areas from which to carrry out adventures.
