As far as eyewitness accounts of the age, I love the paintings by Lejeune, very inspirational!
still looking for a good resolution one of the battle of Borodino though..

I had the joy of seeing "The Battle of the Pyramids" in person, when it came to Memphis, Tennessee as part of the "Napoleon" exhibit back in 1990s. The painting is truly huge and spectacular.
