As it says? A somewhat related thread a while back didn't reveal much… TMP link I'm interested in the Bronze Age "Aryan Invasion" of No. India… |

Not sure why this was moved to media? Clearly, in the title, I am interested in the views of the board's members on what 28mm figures would be suitable for portraying the Rig Veda "Indo-Aryan Invaders" of northern India, sometime before ca. 1200BC, but probably after the beginning of the decline of the indigenous Harrapan Civilization, ca. 1900BC? But, it is what it is. Any help here? I was thinking of using Foundry "Hyksos" infantry; portraying the Indo-Aryans as wearing shorter hair and going beardless. However, there is only one pack of those infantry, as javelin or spearmen that I can see, with no corresponding archers, and there is no corresponding set of chariots and crew. Again. I am looking at them as beardless, as they are portrayed in modern Indian art (even though I question the authenticity of the art as I think it represents a much later period -- that of Ashoka). Thoughts? |

Hammurabic Babylonians could fit part. They do have beards though, |

Beards… Sigh. I guess I can email WF and ask why their Hyksos "line" stopped with one pack of javelin-men; no swordsmen, no archers, no charioteers? |
