Moving along with this project, most of the boards are finished cutting and shell holes are drilled.

I used a very sharp Olfa Knife to cut the trenches and a power drill with a 1/2 metal drill bit for the shell holes.

Next phase is to mix white glue, dirt, sand and flat latex paint spread over the top of all the boards. A little glue and paint on the sides.

Canadian Front Line Trench.

The problem I had with Chiclets was the white glue melting the outside coating of the gum.

I found rolled putty with the individual bags pressed in was much faster and less messy.

I use clay, rolled and cut. But I like the mini chiclets idea, just not sure if I can get them in Canada? However, I've never looked for them either.
