"War Layer is a brand new collection of modular 3d printable sci-fi wargaming terrain. The printed models slot together without the need for tools or adhesive. All of the models can be reconfigured and played in an infinite amount of ways for an endless world. I've been working in 3d printing for several years and have over 100k downloads of my designs on Thingiverse. What I'm aiming to do is turn my love for the hobby and printing into something more serious…" link link Main page link Amicalement Armand |

Wow. That's some lovely work. I can't imagine that the printing is cheap, though. |

Looks nice. But as with most things miniature, no mention of scale can be seen anywhere. :) At least easily. |

They are selling the files, not finished pieces. You can print it at whatever scale you need. |

Looks like 28-32mm "scale" to my eyes, there is one figure shown in one of the shots and it looks familiar. Just based on my newfound hobby of 3D printing, and my experience printing many dungeon tiles and walls, I'd say all of the pieces in that Forward Radio Station (3 walls, some crates and cannisters, and the antenna itself, would probably use about $3 USD worth of plastic. Possibly less. These look like nice models, and they are reasonably priced considering you can print as many as you want. I just backed. Thanks Tango01 for pointing these guys out. I go looking on Kickstarter from time to time for 3D gaming terrain files, but have not done so in a bit, and probably would have missed this one! $20 USD well spent. |

The SceneryAll models are designed specifically for single extrusion 3d printing and should not require any support material or structures. They are modeled to 28mm scale miniatures but you can scale them to any size you want.

I just read the whole thing. They are only giving the STL files. So you can rescale them larger or smaller. |

Several stretch goals have now been unlocked, with more planned. This looks to be a great price for some really nice looking terrain. I also like the modularity. The lower tower piece for the radio antenna is used as the support beams for the orbital landing platform. This sort of cross-over use will lend itselt to using some pieces for multiple purposes, which extends the usefulness of the models. |
