Any one know if any company produces 2 inch Venator class destroyer miniatures? Thank you for your help. |

There was one in the Titanium Series of toys, die cast micro machines, but I think it was in the 3-4" range, and probably goes for a pretty penny now. Brigade Models has a close stand in in their range, but again, closer to 4". link You could try Shapeways, but those tend to be expensive if you go for better detail material (in my experience, String White & Flexible material is crud). -Brian |

Another option.. "Starship Modeler Store: Odyssey Slipways" They have some pretty good resin Star Wars mini's from both the "Clone Wars" and "Empire" period. They come in two scales, 1/5,000 & 1/10,000, but I dont really know if what your looking for would measure out at "2 in." But you can check. link |

On that link, they claim their 1/50000 Venator offering is "three ships, each one 24mm – 15/16" long." I'm not seeing a 1/5K-10K, or the probably closest 1/20-25K. Doug |

The 1/5000 was a typo on my part didnt catch that. What I would REALLY like to know, is 'What Source" they use to determine "This scale = this size miniature" A few yrs ago they came out with "The Essential Guide to…" starships, weapons, etc for the Star Wars universe. Then later it was updated with "The NEW Essential Guide.." series. "Several yrs ago' before any SW ship games came out, I found a reference book in a LGS, IIRC, it was more for RPG background info. It listed the Imp. class SD at 1,600 meters long, and the Super SD at 8,000 meters. Exactly 5x the Imp. class. Since then Ive read various resources, and not all of them 'agreed' on ship stats. |
