I recently finished reading "Rorke's Drift: A New Perspective," by Neil Thornton. It was very good and I recommend it if, like me, you're fascinated with the Anglo-Zulu War and that battle in particular. It contains a very detailed account of the fight for the hospital with some excellent explanatory illustrations. I think Mr. Thornton's description of the battle is one of the best I've read.

Thanks. Always interested. It was available on Amazon and arrives on my doorstep on Saturday.

Is it as good as Colonel Snook's? I got his Isandlwana book last month and it is the best on the battle written.
