So, here we have a new release of 8 all new US army Jeeps in various configurations. yep, 8 new additions.

From HQ jeeps with Radios, to recce Jeeps with FOO and portable radio, to Recce jeeps with .50 HMG and .30 MMG.

Other jeeps with covered windscreens and wire cutter post. 2 versions of armored jeeps with machine guns.

All with crews made to fit these models.

Best bit of all is the Jeep is a single piece casting, so its EWM "BUILT & READY" format. Yep, that means the jeep is all ready to go out the pack!

Just add the crew and weapons, thats it.

Each model has simple instructions too.

A great additions to our ever growing Late war ranges.

Very nice.

Plenty of variety.

Thankfully we no longer play 20mm except for Burma. The temptation would have been too much.

Suitable for early Cold War too.

Excellent.

Do You consider also making Soviet Razvedka "human grapes" on M3 White?

The sculpting is great!

Beautiful work. 1/72 or 1/76?

Von Miligan02 Feb 2017 6:20 a.m. PST

thanks all for the positive comments.
Not sure not sure what Soviet Grapes are, but they sound uncomfortable!
Nearer 1/72 scale.
Crews and Jeep available separatly if required. Just drop me an email about the crews, jeep separate are n the EWM store.

Cheers

Was the armored jeep a standard thing? or ad hoc? and how prevalent?

The only quibble I have of the jeeps is that it'd be nice if the windshields folded down (i.e. a separate piece) -- find it hard to believe they would fire the MG with the windshield up, especially the .30, too much chance of shooting out their own windshield.

My only quibble about the crews is that at least some of the heads (helmets) seem too large.

But all-in-all very nice looking models.

BTW, about half of the US recce jeeps ("peeps") carried 60mm mortars. I assume they had to be dismounted to be fired. But a crew version that included a mortar would be a nice addition.
