Found a couple of HaT FT17s in the cellar…and lovely little models they are too. Always though about doing the Spanish civil War using Chain of Command, mainly because it gives me an excuse to use charming little beasties like these, Italian tankettes etc.. But… how did each side paint their tanks? Any help like reference to Vallejo colours would be much appreciated. |

Spanish pre-war FTs were apparently painted either plain olive green or in a two-color camo pattern, that the artist Rubén Torregrosa (aka HeresyBrush) interpreted this way for us Minairons:
Background 70.967 Olive Green, Patches 70.968 Flat Green. The Republic later purchased a few dozens FT-17s else, from Poland mainly. These would likely show the common Polish armour 3-color livery, that might be interpreted as: 70.890 Reflective Green, 70.977 Desert Yellow, 70.826 German Camo Medium Brown. As for what I know, Nationalists didn't apply any particular scheme different from those above.
