Nice! Here I'm trying to resist buying Austrians, it's not easy when you see a well painted army like this. :) |

Just lovely table and figures, though there seems to me to be something fundamentally wrong when you have to set aside the rules to let a player play. How do the dice gel with reality? The Austrian CO was inches away from the troops who wouldn't move due to the dice system. Why wouldn't he ride up and kick some butt into action? All the artillery fires at half effect for the entire game? What did they do, bring the powder but not the balls? This is not my idea of fun. Especially if I waited five years to play. |

Great looking game, beautiful figures. Shako has maps drawn at the beginning of the game for orders. Each General has ADC"s which "carry" a new order to the division. Die rolling for movement the ADC can move 12", 24" or be killed! The order does not arrive. Each country depending on the year has a different number of ADC's. |

@21eRegt – To change orders I had to throw 6+ with 2 D6, so it was a 50/50 chance. But the dice gods wouldn't let me throw anything over 4. So I failed, Ian did tell me if I'd attached my CnC it would have been a 5+, so I would still have failed. The main problem I found (which he will change for the next game) is we had to give orders on the map before we'd seen the enemy disposition. I put most of my army on defensive orders but failed each change order test?? So I was going to throw in the towel, because with me moving the game was all but over, hence the free order change. In the rules if your artillery throw a double 6 its double casualties and an auto morale check, if you throw a double 1, your considered low on shot, hence the half fire effect. |

Noted you're using General de Brigade rules. My preference also. Great game. |
