I need some advice on painting bloodstains and splatters on weapons, clothing, and wounds. Any help would be appreciated. |

Just be careful on how bright your red is. I found a touch of brown mixed with red looks better to me. |

I use red clear from Tamiya mixed with a drop of black ink.

I agree with Hlaven's suggestion, red with some brown mixed in and thinned just a bit. |

Most people seeem to have far too much blood on figures when it is depicted. |

GW make a blood effect paint and it works great. |

Note how old bloodstains will be more rust-colored; I use a red brown for those. Blood absorbed by cloth will merely darken the cloth color, too, not remain red necessarily (unless it's on white). |
