I hadn't noticed the card under the asteroids; mistaking the light flares for dots, I was all, 'OMG, he's got separately moving asteroids! The horror!' ;->=

I agree: a very handsome set up.

I don't mind lighter, wispy patterned, like the space you see in Alien/Aliens, but the garish stuff I'm seeing makes visuals a bit distracting.

Your table keeps attention where it belongs, on the ships. Except…

Looks good.

I concur on the subdued background of space, as opposed to some poster-like terrain shots, where the minis get lost in the images of nebulae and galaxies.
