It has been pointed out to me that not all USPS postage options are being offered on the orders, and the cost has been somewhat inflated. When an order is submitted, a PayPal request is sent to me to confirm the amount of the bill that will be charged, but this is where I can reduce the cost of postage by using 1st class instead of Priority if that is what you want. Sadly, the USPS has recently increased their postage costs a bit, and that can seem to be excessive (sorry, but I don't control that.) The website gets updated postage rates, but for some reason it is not offering the 1st Class rates. I can still ship US domestic orders for $4.00 USD, but the website is still not forwarding out the emails to me or my customers it seems. I will always ship in the method and lowest cost possible, and I will double check when I can other rates if requested by email. I'm sorry if there has been any confusion or concerns over this, and for the process of a second step in order to achieve your wishes, but I am still working on getting the bugs out of the website and solve these problems. Your patience is appreciated! |

I was just there, and saw on their board that anything weighing more than 3.5 ounces is now a package, as is anything that is about 1/8" – 1/4" in thickness. Not sure on the thickness gauge, but the weight is right from the USPS. Small, flat-rate boxes are the way to go, but even they're $7.15 USD a pop, and are really small. Still, weight in them isn't an issue – if it fits, it ships. With Priority Mail, you at least get $50 USD of insurance coverage, not that it is real useful in many cases, but theoretically it is. |

I usually use padded envelopes (package) to ship metal and lightweight orders USPS First Class, and use a small box for resin items by USPS First Class, but all packages now have tracking (which is a plus!) The USPS Priority Flat Rate small box holds a lot of stuff ($7.15 USD for unlimited weight on domestic packages), and can go up to 4 lbs for International (unfortunately it is also $25.00 USD USD for Canada and $34.00 USD USD for the rest of the world now) with tracking on all of them. Usually this is a better deal, but they keep raising their rates! >:-( |

Yep, at far beyond inflation, just like the power company, water company, cable company, etc., etc., etc.. |
