Hello

I tried to sign up for FFG forums but for some reason I cant hit the next button, to finish the sign up? I had another friend try an same result. So, I will ask here an see what answers I get until I'm able to log into FFG forums.

1.) If a ship moves an collides with both a asteroid an the space station. Which gets resolved fist? does It go in the order of which the said ship would run into first?

2.) if a ship collides with two other ships in the same movement does the moving ship receive 2 damage cards? And the other two receive 1 per ship? Of course this is saying that the moving ship hits the other two at the exact same time.

3.) When a card is exhausted is that only once per turn? or can it be used against other attacks later on in said same turn? Ie.. Electronic countermeasures?

4.) Can a ship only use defense tokens once per attack? ie.. you take 10 damage you have two redirects available can you use them both on the same attack or only once per token?

5.) finally for now brace, so lets say you have taken 5 red damage an 2 black damage with 2 crits on the same black damage die, I use Brace reduces the 9 total damage to 4.5 rounds up to 5. does that me you take 5 total damage, or you reduce the total hits by 5?

Thanks guys liking the game a lot just a few questions need clarified for me an some friends.

4) You can only use 1 token of the same type in one attack. 😜
Unable to confidently adjudicate on the other points.

5) If you take 1 hit, you halve it, round up, you take 1 hit.
If you take 9 hits, halve it, round up you take 5 hits.

1 & 2) You'd have to be lined up exactly right to have two collisions in the same move. As soon as your ship encounters any object, you immediately back it off to the previous section of the movement gauge and your movement stops there and you take the one damage. You don't move any further. So to hit two things in the same move, they'd have to both be exactly the same distance away.

3) When you use a card or defense token it becomes exhausted for the rest of that turn. You can use it again, but only by 'spending' it, in which case it is removed for the rest of the game.

4) as Sillypoint said.

5) A note on this. You can only ever take one critical per attack and the crit can't be removed by brace or evade (although there are other things which can).

You only 'move back' if you overlap another ship. Your ship takes one damage and the closest of the other ships takes one damage. If you overlap more than one obstacle you resolve them in an order of your choice.

Hope his helps!

Oh, and it's only the Defence Tokens that you can 'spend' and remove from the game. An exhausted card can't be exhausted again or spent.

Scott- your response to 1 isn't quite right!

For your question 1- the active player decides simultaneous effect resolution. So you could take and suffer the face up from the asteroid, then discard that card.

2) No, only the last ship overlapped or closest if you overlap two simultaneously. Still just 1 damage to the overlapper, and 1 damage to the closest overlapped.

3) correct, you ready cards and exhausted defense tokens at the end of the round.

4) This has been answered adequately. You may use more than one token, but only one of a particular kind.

4)confused me a bit at first as well.
It 'seemed' to read that you could 'not' use the same Def. Token during the same turn, regardless.

Then I realized. For example.

A Corvette attacks a SD aft hull section. The Imp. player uses One Def (redirect) Token, it is fliped over (red) and exhausted.

A Neb. B FF then attacks the same SD's aft hull section. The Imp. player uses his 2nd (redirect) Def Token. Both are now exhausted (red).

Finally a B wing sqdrn attacks the same location. Again the Imp. player CAN use one of his (redirect) Def Tokens, but as they are both exhausted, the one used is then Removed from the game.

Each of these are "seperate attacks" as they orginate from a different attacking unit. Which permits the same token to be used more than once Per TURN.

You are correct PTG. :)
