I am not very good at painting thin lines especially with white paint. I have finally found a white ink gel pen that works for the task. It is described a Uni-Ball UM 153 Signo Broad Point Gel Pen – White on Amazon. They cost $6.80 USD for 3 of them and the ink is described as archival and is acid free. I did the white pattern on an Afghan Highland Guard and was happy with how it turned out.The lines stay the same width and the ink, although white, was very opaque and there was no bleed thru of the red paint used as the base color on the so-called kilt. The ink flowed out very smoothly. Please excuse the blurry photo.

Worked well for the purpose! The pattern on those Afghan "kilts" were on the thick side. Nicely done! Please post another pic of the full unit when they've all been "penned"! |

The pen I used was called "broad point" maybe there is one that draws finer lines. The vertical folds in the kilt made placing the lines difficult. |

You did well enough with a broad point, suffice to say I will be looking to buy some of those pens. |
