Hello Gents,

After been introduced to Plack Powder ACW by some fellow wargamers i found myself purchasing a box of Perry plastic zouaves.

Here is the first one hopefully with no historical inaccurasies…

Very nice. There was a rumor during the ACW that the triangle at the bottom of sash was representative of a builder's square, and indicated the wearer was a Mason.

If you looking for pinpoint historical accuracy, the red lace on the jacket would be trimmed in yellow/gold for an NCO. See Troiani's print of the 5th NY as a resource.

But an extremely well done figure. Masterful brushwork.

Extrabio: I think that the yellow trim on the jacket, and the red outline on the NCO stripes was for standard bearers only. Also, if you base zouave uniforms on Troiani only, you are making a mistake. His Tiger Rifle painting has major flaws in it. I'd like to add that the job on the figures is great. TIG
