I know this has been asked before, but does anyone make these? I.e. separate eagles that you can affix to a plastic figure?

The Airfix Waterloo figures feature feeble / small flags with no eagle, so I would like to fit some. I am sure this has been answered quite recently but can't find the thread.

you can use, as i did, 25mm ones…not so different and, in any case, more visible on the tabletop

I think Hät 1805 French Light Infantry has some separate eagles, but they are not sold separately. I use the eagle bearers from Newline and I add a flag to them. Sorry not being more usefull.

Who makes separate 25mm eagles?

Front Rank have them under EQ51:

I use the spares from the Italeri sets. They come with three identical sprues, so for around 40 figs I get two extra eagles. good size, so can be cut off and inserted onto a new brass wire spear.

Front Rank eagles will be HUGE for 1/72 figures.

Or, how about press moulding some from a decent "master" – miliput will make a good mould material, and filler, so make a few, press them out and "voila"

I may have to do something like making my own, Marc. It's finding the decent master.

The thing is that the flags on eg the Airfix French line and Old Guard have a feeble little eagle or none at all. But as they are sculpted hanging around the flagbearer's shoulders, one could push a piece of wire vertically into the flag and attach cravats and an eagle to the top of it.

Have you seen the italeri sets – the newer type?

If not, SHQ/Kennington make suitable cop and, and their eagles are quite chunky so may mould well

I am lazy, but have made miliput press modules before and they are r latively simple to make

I have just ordered 2 of the Waterloo1815 metal Scots Greys packs which come with 6 Scots Greys and 2 French per pack, one of whom latter is an eagle bearer. I am hopeful that one of these will provide me with a master. It can be a bit oversize, I like big standards.
