I have the Victrix plastic Carthaginians and I am looking for additional command figures. Relic is listed as "true 28mm" does that mean that they would be a bit shorter than Victrix?

Also, failing Relic, any suggestions for Carthaginian command figures from other manufacturers?

Victrix's Carthaginians are pretty large 28mm, and much stockier than Relic's "true 28mm".

You can see comparisons of Relic's Hannibal versus several other Carthaginian command options from other manufacturers here: link

I didn't shoot Relic next to Victrix but Victrix is slightly larger than Crusader/A&A.

That said, Relic's Hannibal is a lovely sculpt and he may work mounted on his horse next to standing lieutenants from other ranges.

Relic also has some lower-ranked officers in more regular 28mm dimensions, though you have to hunt around for the right link on the site.

Having painted a few for a friend building a double sized Armati Successor army, I found the Relics quite 'delicate' in the sculpting and, while I have not had the opportunity to put them side-by-side, I suspect the Victrix to be quite a bit bulkier.

Thanks for the quick response. Very helpful comparison shots, very helpful indeed.

You're welcome.

In case you missed it, I forgot I made an earlier post that compares Victrix with metal Carthaginians from A&A and Crusader here link

Good luck with the project.

I wouldn't recommend walking into a Toyota Dealership and ask for a comparison with Honda. Why don't you ask Steve at (Victrix/LBMS) he has actual donations from all manufacturers that he makes transfers for.

Victrix and Aventine are always going to look a bit thicker compared to Relic's more realistic proportional sculpts.

I like them all, but I do not mix them in the same units. The Relic commander figures are all a cut above.
