Very impressive work! Wow! I like the fact that the unit looks coherent and yet there is individuality between the various models and poses. Very well done! |

Lookin good as always!! I have said it before and will say it again, I really like your choice of bright colors and your highlighting technique, it makes the figures pop out! |

Recently did a few battalions of Russian militia and a foot cossacks. No where near your numbers or quality. |

Well done, as usual. When you get tired of Napoleonics, you can use these same guys in the Crimean War, WWI, various Russo-Turkish wars, the Russian Revolution… :-) - Ix |

Amazing quality and "look" to these. Well done. I can never get the photos on your blog to open properly, so I look forward to seeing your TMP posts Any chance of a grand parade where every Nap set you have painted is shown please? |

Thanks for the kind words, guys. @Marc, we are talking about a couple thousand models so far, pretty hard to set a parade display with them all at once (!). But I try every now and then to show each army in their current status, as I recently did with the celts. |

Fabulous Mateus I have a box of these to do one day! Did you have any problem with the painting/undercoating? I noticed they were a different slightly rubbery sort of plastic to the usual 1/72 figures. |

@ Timbo, I don't like Hat's soft plastics, but there are a lot of units only they produce, so it's difficult to avoid them. What I do with my 1/72 plastics in general is that I avoid touching the models themselves once they're done. I only handle them by the bases. Even though Hat's soft plastics are a nightmare to clean mold lines of, they hold paint better, they endure some bending without the paint chipping off. Interesting fact: A year or so ago Hat did a pool to find out their costumers' prefered material, and the soft plastics won. Go figure… |

Such a beautiful paint job! I've been using a plastic-friendly spray undercoat (like the Krylon but better – a brand made and sold by Home Hardware, a Canadian hardware store) and it is proving very durable. As I see my hard plastic figures' bayonets bending and threatening to snap I'm a bit grateful for the floppy HaT plastic! It is a murder to clean mold lines though -you're right. I use a surgical scalpel with some success. |
