Thanks to some kind individuals, I have been able to offer all of the editors part-time work for February. It is only 3 hours per day, but it is better than nothing. All of the editors have accepted the offer. Note: Editor Gwen's return will be delayed, for reasons that she may share with you later. Please keep her in your prayers. |

That is good news and well done to those who donated. In an effort to ease your financial difficulty and make use of some of the underused boards on TMP, is it possible to offer for a price TMPers an opportunity within TMP to host their own blog page? They have to abide by your civil rules and content would be monitored but for a contribution they can satisfy any yearning for their own outlet without committing themselves in the commercial world. Just a thought …(only just, I hear you say ) |

…is it possible to offer for a price TMPers an opportunity within TMP to host their own blog page? Yes, but it would require some coding support first. |

Why would one want a blog within TMP? There are many, many excellent wargaming blogs that do very well on their own. |

Outstanding news. My thanks to those unnamed individuals for their generosity. I wish I was able to help too. |

That is generous, well done y'all! |

You can get a free blog with excellent coding support, plenty of free plug ins, and even commercial support from blogger or wordpress. Not sure I see the appeal of a blog hosted on TMP. It would presumably be out during the maintenance period, subject to Bill's rules about politics, mild profanity, etc. I assume the content would be owned by TMP, and with the potential to disappear completely, if Bill were ever to choose to let TMP close. |

@ David Manley and Khusrau The benefit would be to help support TMP. Blogging on other sites doesn't do that. |

The best support bloggers can give would be to publicise the benefits of TMP to their followers to reach out to a wider audience of potential new SMs. For that matter, why doesn't Bill have a blog, or use the TMP Facebook page more to publicise the site? |

The reason I started a blog was because after posting AARs on another wargaming forum the owner deleted the posts. |

If everyone starts blogging here Tango will have nothing to link to. Haven't enough people lost their jobs this week? Surely you don't want Tango to have to go part-time as well? |

"The benefit would be to help support TMP. Blogging on other sites doesn't do that." Bill has enough problems keeping the site going as it is, what with random threads disappearing for no apparent reason and all. Creating a blogging capability seems like mission creep in the extreme and an unnecessary diversion of Bill's scarce resources into something that appears quite nugatory |

Happy news indeed! And I can only join the the others and say well done to those generous people that made it possible. |
