First attempts are often best chalked up as learning experiences. Having said that, she's not that bad! Looks like a galley to me. :) |

I had some real problems with my first few, as well. Once I got the hang of it, they went pretty fast. I do have a few that look just like yours. I've debated using them in an Actium game,where I actually set the models on fire when they are sunk, just like in the Cleopatra movie. |

Sorry it didn't turn out as hoped. Perhaps your balsa / card former of the right height, and approximate shape, below deck is the way to go. Perhaps start with it stuck to the base and build up / around it. Just a thought. Good luck, James |
