Does anyone know where to find swivel guns and steering wheels for a 25mm pirate ship? If the wheel has a pirate steering it that would be a plus, also a U.S. distributor is a plus. I have some Old Glory swivel guns (and pirate gunners) but they are a little small for the ship I have.

I did look thru older posts and found this, but none of these had what I was looking for. Thanks!

Depending on level of detail and budget, here are two good sites for picking up bits to improve the model.

RAFM has some, but I don't see them being any bigger than the OG ones.

I don't remember most of the manufacturer names any more (Model Shipways was one), but try doing a search for wooden and remote control model ship kit and parts suppliers. White metal and resin castings in a number of scales such as 1/48 and 1/96, etc, close to gaming scales.

I've got loads of ships wheels I could send you (no attached pirate though).

For the swivel gun, check Scale Creep. The bought Flagship Games Pirates! line which I'm pretty sure includes separate swivel guns.

Not U.S. based rather U.K.; Nonetheless, Newline Design has 25mm ship's wheel, anchors ladders etc. on pages 6 and 7 of the following link:

Again, UK, but worth looking through Cornwall Model Boats list of manufacturers and see if you can find local importers, for instance Corel and Amati:

Eureka Miniatures has both, and has a US distributor.

Just to be THAT GUY; the ships' wheel wasn't invented until 1724 or 1725 at the tail end of the pirate age. Earlier ships would have a whipstaff or tiller if small enough.

I was going to suggest Old Glory. They once had a pack of swivel guns and you could get swivel gunners in their gunner bags. They included a pirate steering a whee, with the ships they sold but I don't know if they were available separately.

Games of War, in the UK.

They used to have a ship's wheel listed on their site, but I don't see it now. Lots of other useful pirate items though, including a pack of swivel guns, various small ship's boats, a sloop and cutter, etc., etc..

You might ask them about the wheel – perhaps it needs a new mold, or got left off the website, accidentally.

Their longboat and other small boats are superb, and attractively priced, and they discount VAT. Shipping to the US is quite reasonable.

I forgot, by "quite reasonable" for shipping to the USA, I mean free. Doesn't get any better than that for us former colonists of the English Empire.

I sell some from the old Flagship Games range (based in Illinois):

I want to thank everyone for their replies, a lot more choices out there than I expected and I think I found what I need! Also phssthpok, thanks for the tip – I knew that but somehow my pirate ships don't look correct without a wheel – I even have a fantasy ship's wheel made out of bones! And Black Cavalier, thanks for the offer but I think I found what I need from a supplier that has both swivel guns and wheels, thanks again everyone! Tom
