At least he died knowing the Sioux and Cheyenne had a legitimate right to try entrapping and killing him. Wasn't any question about that, was there ? |

I highly recommend the book Custer Victorious: The Civil War Battles of General George Armstrong Custer by Gregory J. W. Urwin. Probably out of print by now but there are bound to be used copies available on Amazon. |

There is a great deal of information on Custer in the book The Guns of Cedar Creek. He was very active in Sheridan's 1864 Valley Campaign. |
