This is GW's newest boxed game. It is simulating fighting between gangs of Dark Eldar in their home realm/world.
It contains a crazy number of figures for the price. It will be retailing at $60 USD and have 6 jetbikes and 10 skyboard riders in it. It also includes a whole game. I re-did a lot of my Dark Eldar last year around this time but then got distracted by other things after I had enough to play with. I actually almost bought a grotesque the other day but went with some Thousand Sons instead. I guess I'll be getting this for sure as a Wych themed Dark Eldar army could use the troops from this set. Without many upgrades I think you get about 300 pts of models here alone. |

Back when the first Codex: Dark Eldar was released, I thought Commoragh would be a perfect setting for exactly this kind of thing. I hope this does really well for GW. |

I'll probably get one or two so I can get some allies for my Harlequins. |

It won't be until March or so but I'm definitely going to get a set. My idea, originally, for my Dark Eldar force was going to be a Haemonculus army with all wracks and Grotesques, but then the wracks were in fine cast when they first came out and it sucked. So I got some wyches and they were great models. Now the wracks are in plastic, which doesn't matter as much since finecast stuff is so much better now. But I have a decent force with the wyches and this would make it a whole nice little detachment. |

This isn't the long-rumored Necromunda-type skirmish game is it? |

I am sure it will still be completely supported this time next year. |

Of course it will, it is an off shoot of 40K. It is a one off game where you can use the models in a game that has been supported for about 30 years. Other than battletech, which has come and gone, can you think of another sci-fi game that has had as much support for as long as GW games have? |

The only one I can think of is SFB and maybe something from Steve Jackson games. |

I'm really looking forward to this game. |

If you play Eldar, that's a real bargain. The price here is €45.00 EUR, and you can get it with some internet sellers for less than €40.00 EUR, Not bad. |

Correcting myself. Found it for €36.00 EUR, with a German seller. That's awesome! |

£35.00 GBP basic with £75.00 GBP+ worth of miniatures… it is a GW bargain. |

The new GW boxed games are are pretty fun. Gorechosen is probably my second favorite game of 2016 (first being the new Doom boardgame from FFG) |

Wow! That looks really cool, and (I can't believe I'm saying this) seems like a pretty great price for what you get. I never liked Dark Eldar, but those skyboard guys are really nice-looking! |

Seems a great way of selling figures you ordinarily would't buy too many off. What's more you have to buy enough for two players at once! Marketing Gold. Next they need a game to push some chaos heros… A flimsy rule book and a hand full of card components later and bingo, your shipping loads of figs that wouldn't sell well and calling it a new game! 'On ya, GW. Idea! Necron lords in monoliths races! Dreadnaught cloning! Who can turn off the cloning machine first? Your not the hive tyrant, I'm the hive tyrant! Starter set comes with ten hive tyrants! and a "I'm the hive tyrant" hat! They did similar things in the past: Hero on a Pegasus…Flash, Bang, Pow! Pegasus units! Ogre special unit…Zip, Zappity, Doo! Ogre armies! Orcs! GorkaMorke! Orcs! Mordhiem flops(?). Reuse molds as new units in up coming WH new edition!!! Bommerz ova da sulpha river!!! Bad spelling and you get more fighta bommerz than you may buy otherwise!!! Actually, if you look they have a pretty solid track record of this, so why am I complaining? |
