Gringos40 have slightly expanded the French range. link You will see below another Mameluke, subtly changed. This chap at least is looking straight ahead. His elder brethren are gazing right and left. He still comes with the same separate sword arm. I like that feature, as a dip into the spares box and he easily becomes on parade with shouldered sword, or, the other extreme, giving point in a charge. He is now on the galloping horse, not the walking one but how I would welcome a third horse in their ornate harness, just for variety!
Some new infantry releases already previewed. The drummer boy and dog were "upgraded" apparently. The fallen figure is new to me. The marching figure is nice for the pre 1812 rig. The earlier posting did suggest a kneeling and another marching type too. Let us hope! Previous postings; TMP link TMP link

I thought they said they'd have an active voltigeur cornetist in great coat. But I like what they've put out so far. |

I suspect more to come. The Cornet player I had not heard of….any musician would be "different" and welcome indeed. Doubtless we will hear from the horse's mouth shortly |

I had no idea French drummers used cucumbers to play. The casualty fig looks great. |

First I agree, the "casualty" (let's face it he is dead) is really novel and different. I think he is great but will not make anyone's fortune. How great that anyone will produce such, even if not massively commercial. Second, the drum sticks. Painting in layers will transform them. Any manufacturer tends to exaggerate the thickness…………..They simply must, I suspect…it is a casting issue….for all the best known 28mm folk |

he is great but will not make anyone's fortune Maybe he could be part of a pack of 3 or 4 casualty figs? I would have thought that would sell well – people seem to like them for casualty markers in wargaming, as well as for spicing up units and dioramas. Ged, hurry up with some 1815 British PLEASE!!! :) |

The casualty figure I applaud. But to make a fast buck you need something like loads of French in what I still call "March attack", although I now know wrong. Manufacturers need folk to buy hundreds of any one figure. How indebted are we to anyone who will make a kettledrummer of the Polish Lancers of the Guard? (possibly the best figure I have ever worked with) |

Totally agree. marching French will pay the mortgage. Kettledrummers of Guard Cavalry will satisfy your professional pride……….and keep me happy. (I include Carabiniers in the above….hint!) |

More figures in relaxed off duty pose would also be useful. Including dismounted cavalry. Lack of these in the larger 28mm size. |
