I posted a suggestion on the Pendraken Forum to request a M-1 Heads/Helmets sprue be produced, for converting various WWII and Modern troops to other ones appropriate for WWII and the Cold War, for differing nationalities, e.g.:

- US Marine kneeling, and wearing a soft cap – want one wearing the M-1 helmet;

- British WWII uniforms with American M-1 helmets for early Cold War Danish troops, and their Home Guard/Reserve troops throughout the Cold War;

- M-1 helmets on British Falkands troops – Carl Gustav and M72 LAW figure for Cold War Danes and others; and,

- M-1 helmets on WWII German MG42 team to convert them to West German and Danish Cold War troops using the MG3.

Of course, I suspect there are many other options too, for conversion, but that's a start, and probably the quickest way of fielding these without waiting for Pendraken to create entirely new sculpts for all of them, and/or sacrificing perfectly good, whole figures just to obtain their head/helmets for conversion.

I've also added a Cold War equipment sprues list there too, requesting various things like 106mm recoilless rifles, 106mm RRs on jeeps, Panzerfaust 44s, 3.5" bazookas, etc., etc..

So, if you are interested in seeing these produced too, please post a reply under the WWII Requests and Post-WWII Requests postings on the Pendraken Forum to let Leon know.

The more people that want them, the more likely they are to get produced.

I'm planning on using some of the Falklands range figs, as well as some of those from WWII, for my very early, Cold War troops in this scale.

I wouldn't attempt head swaps on 10mm figures, far too fiddly for me. I'm happy scratchbuilding down to 1/1200th but not headswaps – tried that and miserably failed.

Equipment sprues not a bad idea though. Not my period but I'm sure others will go with that.

Life is too short to do headswaps on 1/144 figures. In any case, only dedicated button counters would even notice your fiddly hard work.

Yea, I agree, quite fiddly, but I'll know.

I have swapped plenty of heads in 15mm with no problem. Tried it with a few 10mm: it's doable with a lot of patience but never again would I bother.
