Hi all,

I'm new so please be nice. I'm looking for anyone who manufactures Fallschirmjäger motorcycles in 15mm scale, either single or with a sidecar.

The rest of my army is Battlefront but they only make regular Germans on motorcycles. I'm prepared to try converting if necessary but I thought I'd better check first.

Not sure if someone like Old Glory might do them as its hard to tell ont heir website as a lot of the stuff doesn't have pictures.

Any help/advice is welcome!

Rich

Oops, apologies for the double post. I'm new here!

Could use some of these for various forces in the Cold War period as well, especially for Soviets and West Germans.

I used a box of standard kradschutzen and sculpted the jump smock and other bits as I couldn't find any.

Being that it was desert I would just use the DaK figures with some head swaps here and there. I doubt the smock was worn very often.

Photos of fallschirmjager M/C riders in Italy show them in camo smocks and the typical fallschirmjager helmet. Your best bet would be to use the Battlefront SS M/C set with head swaps using Peter Pig heads.

Sorry should have added I used Peter pig FJ heads.

iampoundfoolish17 Jan 2017 4:48 a.m. PST

Thanks. Do Peter Pig do separate FJ heads?

wizbangs17 Jan 2017 7:00 a.m. PST

Just be careful. I can't vouch for Peter Pig, but the Old Glory motorcycles are much smaller than the Battlefront models. You can't mix them.

Peter Pig infantry mix well with Battlefront infantry.

Thanks for the PP link. I have a few of their British Airborne mixed in with my BF figures. The padre model is very nice, it reminds me of the bit in the film "The Longest Day" where the chaplain loses his communion case in the pond!

I've actually got some old Battlefront motorcycles with FJ riders that I bought around 10 years ago. I'm not sure why they stopped making the riders, as they still exist in some of the FJ lists.

email them and ask. They may be coming out again when the new theatre books hit the market.
