Can anyone recommend a good source of information on the Royal French Army in the 1820s i.e. the army that went to Spain in 1821 and Algeria in 1830? |

Dear Chouan, thanks for this. Funnily enough this is the one source I do have and is the one that wetted my appetite for more info. Any other ideas? |

Starting with Issue 112 of the Foreign Correspondent (the current issue), the newsletter of the Continental Wars Society, they will be covering the French Army of the 1823 Spanish Campaign, and the Campaign. Their Salute game will be the Storming of the Trocadero Fort. |

Hi Artilleryman, as K Travlos says, the Continental Wars Society will be covering the 1823 French expedition to Spain in our Salute game this year with articles in our society newsletter. We will also be including details in our Google+ community, which also has our contact and membership details: link In the meanwhile, if you are looking for uniform details, there are some great pictures in the following digital collection of the New York public library: link Ian |
