Hello I need to remove some figures that I originally super glued to washers. What is the best method to remove the figures. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Freeze them, then apply a slim blade betwixt washer and figure.

Finger nail Polish remover. Also gets the superglue off your fingers.

I take a exacto knife and seperate any figure from the wood stand.

I find a utility knife will pop them right off with no trouble, no need to even freeze them (which is why I switched to epoxy). Just watch out for your fingers.

Two techniques that I recommend.

1 – Acetone – Nail polish remover. try buying it from Boots the Chemist rather than the bottles you see on the shelf. The proprietary brands contain fillers and perfume and are not as good.

2 – WD40. If in doubt this will clear just about anything. You may need more than one application.

I hope that this helps.

CA Debonder – any brand.

I find that freezing them works well and is not going to damage the paint as other methods do. Try it first.

I use the Boots nail varnish remover. Also will remove the paint so be aware.

Not tried freezing, gentle prising with a scalpel or Stanley blade works for me.

CA debonder and a x-acto knife.

I used acetone and then freeze them. It worked? Thanks for all the ideas.
