I am the editor of "Saxe N' Violets" a PRINT newsletter- magazine- journal abut war games put out by "The Society of Daisy" a Yahoo Group. The newsletter is published quarterly in March, June, September and December. It is always at least 16 pages in full color. No advertisements, no figure reviews, only pure content about war games on wargames and on the subject of gaming. Circulation is abut 100.Supscription is $10 USD a year which goes entirely for printing and postage. As I said, it's small.
In our March issue of 2018 we will be having a review essay of Warhammer, Age of Sigmar. It is a very negative review which I might characterize as "with mercy towards none and malice to all." I would like to print an opposing essay in the same issue which is at least somewhat favorable for balance. If you are interested in doing so, please contact me at sigurd@eclipse.net
Saxe N' Violets is published by the Society which has as its aim the promotion of Imagi-Nations, Imagination, fun, friendship, and humor and whimsy in the hobby of war games. Articles are submitted from many sources. I feel that as Warhammer is such a big part of war games some sort of balance and mention of the virtues of the game should be observed. The author of the negative review made the premise of the review that he was not going to criticize Warhammer against history or realistic plausibility as it was a game and was going to restrict his criticism of the game to its own internal inconcsistences, infefficiencies, gaffes and its own backstory. The review I would wish to publish would follow the same pattern.
The review should be about four typewritten pages single spaced long. If you are interested please contact me. Alas, we can not pay for any articles. We don't have the budget and all of our submittors do this for the labor of love that is war games.
