I've got a small Ancient British army made of Corvus Belli figures, which I'm considering expanding to full size using War & Empire Celts. Before I do anything I may regret, I thought I'd ask y'all how well they go together – how similar are they in height, heft, and style? Would they look silly on the same base? In the same army?

Why not just hang tough until CB return to production? A recent thread here suggested their return is not too far off.

They're not a perfect match, but it really depends on how fussy you'll be. Definitely not on the same base, but I wouldn't hesitate to use both in the same army.

But CB are returning, I'd be inclined to wait for that. You'll need an opposing army though, and I'd looknat W&E for that!

Thanks.

I know that CB are supposed to be returning, but I imagine they'll be considerably more expensive than the W&E figures. Still, might be worth it for consistency. (I tend to be fairly fussy.)

I already have an opposing army at full size, namely Marian Romans.

Have a look at Donnington, they are a pretty good match for CB and are nice figures at a good price.

QRF are worth a look too.

I use both CB and W&E for my Carthaginian and allied armies, they are about the same.

I don't know about W&E. I did a unit of Essex/Corvus Spanish and unless you look very closely you can't tell them apart.

Corvus Belli Romans compare very well to my Macedonians from Forged in Battle.

Thanks for all replies. I ended up ordering a bunch of W&E.
