With regard to Field of Glory: Ancients, which version of the rules do you currently play? |

I don't. I only know of one individual who plays FoG, and he only runs games at conventions and gaming days. Too "fiddly"and cumbersome for my tastes. |

The first edition. I get in 2-3 games a year. |

2 – probably a dozen games a year |

V1 with additions from V2 gleaned from internet sites. We couldn't get a V2 book. We'll see what V3 has to offer but the plan is to probably upgrade if/when they release something. |

V1. Don't really like it, but have it if someone wants to play it. |

v2, when I play it, but we've switched over to 'To the Strongest'. Much faster and less fiddly. |

v1 Maybe a dozen games a year down the Club, with half a dozen participants. Either points or scenario-driven engagements. v2 passed us by. Cheers, Wilf |

I use v2, but the few FoG players remaining at my local club mostly have v1, and most didn't even know there was a v2! |

V2, getting back into ancients so I anticipate quite a few games with it this year. |

We play V2. Play about 4 times a year. It's tough to get a group of players together more than that. Therefore, we play mostly historical scenarios. Designing historical scenarios and painting up miniatures for it is a solo sport, which gives us "hobby time" in between games. We like V2 – bought the books when they eventually came out. We like the "fiddly-ness" when designing historical scenarios – gives lots of options and ideas for scenario specific rules. |

Two games Ver1.0 years ago…. then nothing since sums up my FoG experience. Haven't seen or heard of a game in SoCalif since then on the gaming circuit. |

Last tournament was V2 but play testing V3 now. |

Version 2, haven't seen anything better since it was released. There have been several faster playing, simpler rules sets come along, but nothing as nuanced or as detailed. ADLG comes closest, but I prefer FoG v.2 |
John the Greater | 15 Jan 2017 9:28 a.m. PST |
v 2 or FoGR about once a month. |
Vespasian28 | 17 Jan 2017 4:00 p.m. PST |
V2 15-20 times a year. Will probably pass on V3 as it seems to be only about speeding up the game for competitions. |
