Simple question. Can you play CoC without having single figure bases? I have my 20mm stuff based in threes from when I used to play Crossfire and would love to try the rules. However, I don't fancy taking the hatchet to them unless it's necessary. |

I'm sure you could make it work. Do you have a few extra, to use to make change as you take casualties? If not, just use markers. Separate leader figures? You'll want to know who is in what team. andy |

Just mark the three figure stands when they take hits. Three hits, the stand comes off. You do need to keep track of how many are left, since once the shock outnumbers the survivors, the squad/section will retreat. |

I do exactly that with my 15mm figures. A few casualty figures or markers , plus one or two individuals for the extra figures you may need per section, and figures for leaders – an NCO per section and senior no and officer per platoon. MMGs and AT guns have five crew: you may need some extra guys there too. |

I play Chain of Command with multi-based 20mm stuff (also based up for Crossfire originally). Mostly based in 3s (2 men on the LMG bases). I have enough single figures to make change when casualties are taken (you only need about a dozen figures a side). |

If you mark casualties and you don't mind losing a little bit of flexibility in deploying your squads, it should work okay. |

I play in 15mm, and I have left the weapons teams as multi figure bases. The leaders are also on slightly bigger bases than the rifleman. It makes them easier find on the table. I did individual base the rifleman, but it really doesn't matter much IMO. It does make it easier when the sections don't start the games with full numbers though. |

Yes…just use a method to mark casualties. I use the ol' school colored rings…red for dead. All my specialty teams, guns, LMGs, various crewed weapons are all multi-figure based. My basic riflemen and/or SMGs guys are single based on fender washers. P. |
