This is a period of Napoleonics I could get into. I won't for the foreseeable future but maybe down the line. Anyway they look cool:

So long as you beat Tango it…..put up with "self bugging". Duplicating the posting is just rubbing it in though! He will see these eventually. He cannot win every time….most I admit Perrys announced these today and I'd stress that, if you follow the link and scroll down, you will see even better figures eg colonels (I imagine one piece but, therefore, excellent animation has been possible) and casualties. |

They look nice but I still have about 200 Dixon French in Egypt to do. |

On the British Union Jack infantry regiment flags for this campaign, should the X part be plain white, or have a red centre line (eg later version of Union Jack unlike that in AWI)? Because I see it both ways on the Perry painted fig examples. Or was it a changeover period when different British regiments had old or new versions of the Union JacK? |

Durban – The red diagonal (the cross of St Patrick) was added after the Acts of Union of 1800 (to give them their correct name), which came into effect on 1st January 1801. Since this merely required alteration of existing flags, rather than the issuance of new ones, I would suggest most units serving in Egypt would have the post-1800 version (a de Loutherbourg painting of the battle of Alexandria shows a soldier carrying a regimental colour which appears to have the St Patrick's saltire added – this was painted in 1802, though, so could be anachronistic). However, units such as Baird's command, which travelled from India, might not have been aware of events in Ireland and may have still carried their pre-1800 designs. |

Supercilius, many thanks for this take on it – very helpful for anyone gaming this period. |
